On Saturday, welcome relief from tasting for formal wine tasting in the form of a couple of pints of Camelthorn Helles Lager at the Laborie market in Paarl. Jörg Finkeldey, chemical engineer turned brewing maestro, who spent years setting up microbreweries all over the world, finally returned to home country Namibia to establish Camelthorn Brewing Companyin 2009. Helles is an unfiltered lager, light in colour and medium bodied with a pleasant touch of bitterness. Delicious stuff.
