My Loire 2013 trip started in Burgundy. Saint-Bris-le-Vineux, to be precise. Colleague Pieter de Waal and I were on a Sauvignon Blanc special interest visit and what makes the Saint Bris appellation notable is that it is the only one in Burgundy that allows Sauvignon in the wines. We visited Domaines Bersan and Verret – box ticked.
